Bovada Online Poker Review 2021 Is Bovada Poker Rigged?

Is bovada poker rigged? Need An answer once and for all

So I’ve found myself winning a lot more of the time live compared to online on bovada. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve won some online tournaments on there, albeit rarely and I’ve always found myself to lose quite a bit on statistically improbable hands (yes I know it’s poker and it’s bound to happen) but I’ve had my suspicions and I’ve seen a lot of online footage questioning the legitimacy of bovada and it definitely raises my eyebrows. So pls share some insight so ya boy knows. Thx.

Bovada Beginner's Luck?

I know this is probably a stupid question, but is Bovada at all suspected to be rigged in favor of newcomers (presumably so they get hooked and eventually lose all their money)? I started playing earlier this week with no real money poker experience (watched a lot of youtube so I feel like I have a good understanding of the game) and I'm up 126.6 BB/100 on my first 884 hands (5NL, 10NL, 25NL).
Anyone have insight as to whether this is just variance or whether Bovada rigs it in the favor of newcomers?

ONLINE POKER IS RIGGED

submitted by BeowulfPoker to poker [link] [comments]

Did I fuck up?

Here’s the situation
TL;DR: got fucked by a full house to trips, look @ last paragraph
I’m in my mid 20s and have been in n out of poker phases since I was 18. Used to be a noob, but i feel like I’ve been getting better. I got back in the seen full time in ~September and I recently went to Nevada this past weekend to play Poker with some friends with the intention of winning some big money. I’ve played in a casino when I was 18 a couple times and got some beginners luck but nothing big to no avail.
(Backstory) I’ve been playing weekly low stakes tourneys and cash games with some neighborhood friends who I feel like aren’t the best since I started this new job and I usually make around $50-60 every week with a few exceptions since September. I’ve tried microplaying on Bovada but I always seem to end up on the downside there losing ~20 every so often. A lot of the hands seem pretty iffy but I usually just end up losing patience and not playing as well as I do live.
I wanted to Verify my online bovada is rigged conspiracy and put my skills to test at an in person casino. Think of it as an existencial poker crisis. So I went with some friends to Laughlin and Wah La the poker room of Riverside Resort is buzzin with action on an electric Saturday night.
Okay here’s where the story heats up:
I initially sign up for a 1/2 no limit 100 min buy in but get placed in a 2/6 limit 9 player game since I wouldn’t have to wait. I end up getting a shit ton of free drinks, buy in for 100 and cash out 200 profit after ~3 hours, never moving tables. Won’t go into detail about my hands but I was rollin.
Next day after, before my friends and I leave we go back to Riverside and I put 200 (my profit) in on a 1/2 no limit which I get to play this time. Had full intentions of using same strategy as I had the day before knowing I had to be cognizant of playing heftty hands.
3rd hand in, I get A10 suited and I noticed these old goons have $500 stacks are betting big. I get raised $10 pre flop after I’m $2 in BB and I call. Flop comes out Ad 2s Jc, Villian bets $30, I call.
Turn comes out Ace of hearts (Ah) Villian bets $60, I raise him $100, he calls me all in. Guess what he flips over. God damn pocket Js. Right when I turn over my A10, I hear oooh bad beat. River is a 5 doesn’t even fucking matter. I shamefully get up, mumble nice hand while he undermines my whole existence and I tell my friends at the roulette table, let’s dip. Oh well at least got free drinks but like still what the fuck man.
Did I play that hand terribly, or was I just on the wrong side of Fuckeryville? All the guys there seemed like randoms so I don’t think they were just trying to get me out. Lmk what you guys think and I hope you enjoyed the read.

Bovada poker : does anyone seem to think the flops/cards are rigged for action

Soo I’ve played over half a million hands of poker , been a long time 7bb/100 winner. That is to say I normally consider the “online poker is rigged” thing to be a joke.
I deposited $100 to start on bovada yesterday, and played 8k hands yesterday. I have to say, it was the most bizarre poker I’ve ever seen. I had SO many hands where multiple players had monsters , where the coolers were just set up. For example , one hand CO opens A5hh, BTN calls KQhh. I call bb with J8ss. Flop is J84hhh. co bets, we both call. Turn pairs the board we get it in 3 ways for an easy triple up for me. I saw hands like this at a rediculous rate, some going for me , some against . Another hand I saw set over set over set on the flop which was a first.
Also, I got KK pre 33 times in this timeframe and ran into AA 8 times which seems rather unlikely. I also got AA 30 times and got it all in pre 6 times against JJ/QQ/KK/AK which also seems too high for normal rates.
Just curious , has anyone else played here and thought the poker game didn’t feel like random cards were being dealt?

Is Bovada rigged?!

I’ve been a live poker player my whole life I’ve always been kinda against online poker but recently got into it because of some bitcoin that I bought 2 years ago that I haven’t used. So I deposited my bitcoin on bovada mainly for sport bets but seeing as how football season is over I’ve decided to try my luck with Hold em. Now either it’s rigged or I maybe the most unlucky person imaginable. Bad beat central! AK suited loses to 49 not suited every time! And what makes me think it’s rigged is they call a high bet on the turn and get the 1 card they need on the river (usually they catch a straight or a flush) EVERY FUCKING TIME! I know that online hold em is quicker so more hands come out which makes the impossible happen but it’s getting the the point of ridiculousness. It makes me think that people can see my hand. I know it’s impossible to bluff an idiot so I’ve been trying to be patient but anytime I catch a high pair or even a 2 pair I lose on the river to someone who called a $50 bet chasing a gut shot 8 for the straight! Anyone else have problems with bovada or am I just unlucky?!

Bovada poker experience

Whats up guys just wondering what everyone’s experience using bovada poker is. I used to think it was rigged and that they used bots to win but as I understood the game more and got better my viewpoint has changed.
Would like to know everyones experience using it. If anyone uses it full time to make their living, whats the most you’ve won/lost etc.
Im thinking about jumping into poker full time and as I live in a state where online poker is not allowed im wondering if this is a fair option I can use. Thanks

A question for any regular Zone Poker (or similar) players...

For one, I usually do not go on forums to complain or rants on about bad beats like (probably) a lot poker players, but...
Recently, I took a liking to the Zone offering on Bovada. The nature of high volume plus a TAG-NIT approach seemed to click and have done fairly well in the past few months. Not boasting, but with the high volume I did notice A LOT of strange play. I’m not of the “online poker is rigged and it’s all bullshit” blah, blah, blah nature.., but I was wondering if anyone has noticed the same play.
Notably, with bigger stacks (in this case, 2x max. buy-in and above) I think it would be safe to assume more often than not, a player with this kind of stack has some skill and is raking the fish. Yes, some donks donk off other donks and it’s a big donk stack. Whatever. For the sake of argument, I’m going to lean on the above average skill type. Now, these I’m going to share are only 2 of the recent hands I can recall. Granted, they do not happen very often given the high volume of hands played, but the play is mind blowing and concerns me to some degree. I don’t remember exact detail of each hand, but whatever. If you know, you know.
First. Other dude has about 3x max. buy-in. Don’t recall the suits at the moment but they are irrelevant to the hands... I’m in big blind - UTG raises 4 or 5x, everyone folds, I call with AJ suited. Flop is J-J-6 rainbow - I bet out 3/4 of the pot, he raises me big (about 3x), I flat call. Turn is J-J-6-4 - I check, he bets big (more than half the pot), I shove, he snaps... River is J-J-6-4-2 - I sit with my AJ he shows pocket 4’s.
Uh...huh...
Next hand. Other dude has a little over 6x max. buy-in. Again, I don’t remember suits, but whatever. I’m in big blind again - Mid. position raises 3x, only I call with KQ off. Flop is Q-Q-4 rainbow - I check he bets pretty big (about 3/4 pot), I raise 3x, he flats. Turn is Q-Q-4-9 - I bet a little over half pot, he calls, I’m pot committed at this point. River is Q-Q-4-9-8 - I bet half pot, he shoves, I call, he shows pocket 8’s.
Again, I’m not complaining. It’s awfully interesting how (at least from my experience) only big stacks at these tables play like this and run well. Just would like to hear thoughts about it.
Thanks for reading my rant!

Ignition Poker force quitting issues

I have been playing poker online on Bovada and Ignition. I believe they are the same company. I use a mac laptop to play and have been experiencing this issue for a long time. Everytime a new game or window pops open, or even if I move around too fast the system freezes and I have to force quit the app and re open. This happens very often and has definitely screwed me out of hands and big pots. I have contacted them about this issue and all they tell me is that they are working on fixing it. It has been happening to me for at least a year now. Does anyone else experience this issue? Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Does anyone thing the site is rigged at all?

Does anyone actually win money on Bovada?

TL;DR: I'm not making money on Bovada after outplaying my opponents and want to know how profitable your experiences on Bovada have been vs how you do in real life or on other websites.
I want to preface this by saying that I don't consider myself a lucky or unlucky player and don't believe in luck.
I've had a great year in live poker so I decided to play a little online. I decided to deposit at Bovada and I have played about 75 MTT tournaments and another 75 sit n go tournaments over the last 30 days.
The level of play is absolutely terrible yet I am not profiting. It seems I get outdrawn time after time after time. I started to go through the hand histories and I'm starting to wonder if people are cheating.
So far I've only gone through 10 tournaments but they seem to be representative of the whole 150.
In pots of any significant size, there was only one hand in the last 10 tournaments where I outdrew my opponent and I was so shortstacked it really didn't matter. Excluding that one hand I lost huge all ins with:
A-J suited vs A-J suited AA vs 10-7 which he called my all in on the flop with only a flush draw. KK vs Q-7 where he raised preflop out of position then called my all in.
6 different times I played a pair vs over cards all in and lost all 6.
If it was just bad beats it would be one thing, but there are also just some inexplicable hands.
Blinds are 75/150 and I'm at 5k in chips he is at 19k.
Hes UG2 and raised to 300 with J-4 offsuit. I reraise to 700 with pocket aces and he calls.
Flop is 5-7-9 rainbow
We check the flop and the turn comes and the board is now
5-6-7-9 and neither of us has a flush draw.
I bet 2/3 of the pot and he calls. The river comes down as an 8, we both hit the straight. He raises 700 on the river and I call.
The whole hand makes no sense. He min raised UG2 with J-4 offsuit then calls a large raise where only a 3 makes his straight and even if he does make the straight, hes got the crap end of it, and I have no stack to pay him off. You can lecture me for slow playing aces if you want but that misses the larger point.
Even 150 tournaments in the scheme of things is a relatively small sample size. But I am curious how people are fairing on Bovada compared to how they do in real life or on other sites before I continue to possibly waste time and money on a rigged game.
EDIT: Still getting outdrawn a lot more than I should but I am crushing cash games because the tables are so soft. MTTs are still not winnable however with the degree to which I get outdrawn.

How to practice on my own without access to casino/online cardrooms?

So basically I have a dilemma: I want to improve as a poker player, but the nearest casinos (including more informal poker rooms) to where I live are 2+ hours away, not to mention that I don't have a car or time to travel that far in my schedule. Additionally, I live in the US, where online gambling is, supposedly, illegal. I am not really willing to wager my money on offshore-based online casinos such as Bovada, etc. because I've heard many disadvantages, notably that the games/accounts can be easily rigged and hacked and that it is hard to find a place willing to cash a withdrawal check, if you are lucky enough to even get one sent.
This leaves me with two apparent options left, both with their own disadvantages: playing online for play money, where players don't give enough of a damn to play seriously, and home games with friends, who are not always available and, as I've found, not a very good "resource" to me personally for improving my poker skills.
So, I am wondering if any of you know a solution to this problem, namely somewhere I can play routinely for solid experience and (preferably) for cash. Any input is appreciated :-)

Online poker

I can beat live games. I have played online for a year from stakes ranging from .2/.5 to .50/1.00.
Every fucking time I play bovada I run into calling stations, that call with garbage, that hit. I run into players that call to hit, and hit. I legitimately believe that after 50k+ hands on bovada that it is rigged.
If I took the insane beats that I have on that site on any legitimate poker site like full tilt on poker stars I would not fucking say a word.
If I get outplayed by someone who bets 1/3 pot on flop and turn w/an overpair trying to rep a blocker bet, I do not fucking complain. I will learn from my mistakes and practice solid BRM so that I have a comfortable risk tolerance. I will never fucking play Bovada again though, I have seen too much bullshit in a year for it not to be feeding money to the site from botted call stations.

I want to depost some money on Bovada but I've heard that you get crazy suck outs and that means you've been Bovada'd? I'm not one for saying online poker is rigged, but is this true?
Edit: sorry to anger you all downvoters with my stupid fish question.

[Discussion] Nitrogen Sports Poker Room - fair warning for serious players

Hello all,
My intention is not to make this post too long, but include some personal experience that may help some members of the community on here make wiser decisions in the future regarding a certain sportsbook/poker room.
So I have been playing poker on Nitrogen Sports for a couple months now. For those who don't know, NS is primarily an online sportsbook, similar to Bovada, which is tailored to US bettors. All cash is exchanged via bitcoin, and there does not seem to be any real ID verification. Relatively recently they opened a poker room and "casino" featuring online blackjack.
While I generally have no complaints about their sportsbook, it is about the poker room and blackjack which I think I should warn the poker community about. The hand dealing and flop, turn, river odds in their cash games and tournaments, at least for texas hold em, are all screwed up; from my experience, starting hands are frequently "set up" in one player's favor such that that player will win a huge pot while the other player loses badly due to an poor all in due to an incorrect appearance of odds.
For example, in each tournament I played, it was not uncommon to see two-player all-ins where one would have queens and lose to aces, or AQ vs AK, AK vs AA, etc. Even something like AA vs. a flopped straight would be relatively common. I would routinely experience many of these situations in one single tournament (lasting about 1-2 hours tops) despite the extremely low probability of such hands occurring. And usually I would not be involved in most of these hands while witnessing them occur. If you have ever played zynga poker just for fun in the past and can recall observing crazy coolers like flush vs. full house on too frequent a basis, Nitrogen Sports is very similar in a sense.
As far as the blackjack goes: basically, the software, while claiming to be fair, is actually rigged to favor the house at around ~70% of the time. I know this is a poker sub, so I won't deliberate on this, but thought I'd throw it in.
Clearly I have made a mistake playing on this site as an aspiring player, falling into the lure of "convenience" as I found a place to play poker and bet on sports on the same site. I strongly caution you to stay away- at least from the poker room.

9-max with motherfucking kings

I open 4 tables of 9-max 10NL, so far so good. I have no real stats on anyone (bovada, I have holdem indicator though) and I've only played about 20 hands on each table. I'm dealt KK on one table, raise it up, some guy goes all in, I call. I always go all-in with kings preflop unless their stats are super nitty. Damn he has aces, oh well - rebuy.
Less than 10 hands later: the exact same thing happens with a different guy holding AA, only this time another guy gets sucked in with the other two kings. At this point I'm like wow, what are the odds of that? Oh well, rebuy.
Fast forward another 10 minutes on another table. I'm dealt KK. I raise it up pretty high as this seems like a loose aggressive table, get reraised all-in. I'm thinking if he has aces I'm going to shit my fuckin pants. Call. You guessed it. MOTHERFUCKING ACES! Staring into my soul and shattering my hopes and dreams...
Now I pride myself on keeping cool and calm. I very rarely tilt. And this was no exception. I was amazed, but managed to keep it cool. I look it up: the odds of an opponent having AA while you are holding KK in 9-max are 4.32%. Well fuck, 100% for me so far...
Oh no. It's not over yet. This motherfucking goddamn epic battle has just begun.
Fast forward 45 minutes later. I am dealt KK again. I start thinking of conspiracy theories: This site is rigged. He can see my cards. Moon landing was a hoax, you get the picture. He's the short stack with only 30BB and goes all in, and on top of that he is newly seated, so of course I call. GODDAMNMOTHERFUCKINGACEEEEESS!!!
Four times. KK vs AA four times and lost all. four. fucking. times.
So, the point is, am I wrong here? Is there something I'm missing? Are the poker gods punishing me? Will I ever find true love?

Supposed Bovada poker tournament system exposed?

I have read from a couple different sources that Bovada(Bodog) has a system that sort of rigs the poker system. Both sources say that Bovada rewards poker players in tournament play 4 hours after deposits are made to keep the money in play. A day after they always end up losing. Is it possible that their servers favor those who have recently made deposits and then diminishes their chances the next day? Has anyone had similar experiences?
